About Lummid

Lummid, LLC (Lummid Containers) is a U.S. wholesale supplier of new and used shipping containers. We sell 20ft, 40ft and high cube containers, refrigerated containers, container chassis and specialty units to businesses across the United States and Canada, and we supply them from hundreds of container depots and terminals nationwide. We have been supplying containers and intermodal equipment to the industry since 2000.

Who runs Lummid

Lummid is led by Michael Stangel, who has worked in the container industry for more than 20 years. Michael has been a member of the National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) since it was founded, and has long experience in wholesale container sourcing, freight forwarding and international trade. Resellers, depots and large buyers rely on that experience when they source containers in volume.

What we sell

• Standard containers: new (one-trip) and used 20ft, 40ft, 40ft high cube and 45ft high cube units, in cargo worthy, wind and watertight and refurbished grades.
• Refrigerated containers and generator sets for cold storage and transport.
• Container chassis.
• Specialty containers: open side containers (including 4-door models), double door containers, open tops, flat racks, half heights, offshore DNV 2.7-1 units, nested containers, mobile offices and modular pop-up containers.
• Military-style containers: bicons, plus tricons and quadcons built to order.
• Modifications such as man doors, roll up doors, windows, electrical and insulation in select markets.

Where we deliver

We serve all of the United States and Canada. Because we supply from a nationwide network of depots and terminals, most orders ship from a depot close to your site, which keeps delivery costs down. We do not run a walk-in yard: every order is quoted and arranged with our sales team, and units are released or delivered from the depot. See where we have equipment.

Can I visit a Lummid yard? No. Lummid supplies from container depots and terminals across the country, and those depots are not open to walk-in buyers. Contact our sales team and we will arrange delivery or pickup.
